VIOLENT GANG MEMBERS ARRESTED IN TACOMA

On Thursday, April 3, 2008, members of the Pierce County Violent Crimes Task Force and officers of the Tacoma Police Department Gang Unit arrested violent gang members Ricky “Sticky Ricky” Jackson and Jamal “Mac Mal” Henry. Jackson was wanted on felony warrants for Second Degree Robbery, Second Degree Assault, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance as well as a Washington State Department of Corrections Warrant for probation violation. Henry was also wanted by the Department of Corrections and was a suspect in a gang related shooting. Following his arrest Henry was charged with the shooting.

The Task Force located Jackson and Henry at a residence in south Tacoma and both men attempted to flee by jumping out of a second story window. Henry was subdued after a brief struggle. Jackson ran a short distance and was caught as he was attempting to kick in the door of a nearby residence.

The Pierce County Violent Crimes Task Force specializes in investigations of violent gang members and is comprised of officers and agents of the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Washington State Department of Corrections, the Washington State Patrol, the Tacoma Police Department and the Lakewood Police Department and works closely with the Tacoma Police Department Gang Unit.
